Daniel J. Phillips, 49, of Bernardo Drive passed away Sunday (6-12-2022) at home.
He was born in Greenfield May 11, 1973, the youngest son of Herbert E. Phillips, Sr., and Nancy J. (Fisher) Phillips.
Dan attended local schools in Montague and graduated from Franklin County Tech School in 1991 majoring in autobody. He worked for Stone’s Autobody, New England Extrusion, and lastly at Leader Lumber as their yardman.

Daniel lived for the day not worrying about tomorrow like our modern-day society forces us to do. He was a very generous soul, always willing to help others in need. He would even offer his home as temporary shelter to his friends and stray animals if needed.
Dan leaves his parents and his brothers Herbert E. Phillips Jr, and Steven R. Phillips all of Montague. He also leaves his Uncle Gary (Joyce) Phillips and his aunt Karen Phillips of Greenfield; Niece Holly S. Phillips and nephew Herbert E. Phillips, III and numerous cousins.
Daniel will be laid to rest with his second oldest brother Ernest S. Phillips who predeceased him in 1983.
Funeral services will be Saturday June 18th, 2022, at 11AM at Kostanski Funeral Home 1 Kostanski Square Turners Falls, MA 01376. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery in Millers Falls.
