Bernard F. Murley, 91, of Montague St. passed away Friday July 11, 2025 at Charlene Manor Extended Care Facility. He was born in Montague August 11, 1933, the son of Obed and Abigail (Haigis) Murley.  Bernie attended local schools and graduated from Turners Falls High School.  He was a Korean War Army veteran attaining the rank of Corporal. Bernie was the Maintenance Manager for Georgia Pacific for many years. He was a communicant of the Churches of St. James and Andrew where he was very active. He enjoyed working with stained glass and puzzles.   Bernie was married to the former Roseanne Morin for 73 years. Sadly, she passed away January 5, 2025. 

Survivors include his children; Ronald Murley (Donna), Debra Powers (David), Kim Longo and Terri Wasielewski (Richard). Bernie also leaves 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren plus several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and his wife Rose he was predeceased by his son James Murley and grandson Colin Murley.

A memorial service for both Bernie and Rose will be held Friday August 8, 2025, at 11 AM Kostanski Funeral Home 1 Kostanski Square Turners Falls. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Gill. A calling hour will be from 10 AM until service time.
