Audrey E. (Nadeau) Ambo, “Tootsie” 89, of Gill, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 4th, after a long and fulfilling life. Audrey was born in Montague on April 19, 1935, the daughter of Omer and Grace (Gardner) Nadeau.  
Audrey was a devoted mother and grandmother.  She had an open-door policy at her house, which was often a destination for many local kids.  She treated all that came to visit like they were her own, creating a welcoming environment where people loved to gather. Audrey was a true New England sports fan, she especially enjoyed watching the Red Sox and Patriots aka Tom Brady.  You could often find Audrey sneaking her grandchildren into scary R rated movies, at the Montague Elks for an event or at the back of the church on Sunday mornings with her partner in crime, Margie.
Audrey is survived by her five children, Stanley (Sandy) Ambo Jr., Paula (Mike) Supernaw, Cynthia (Donald) Godzinski, Kimberly (Michael) Brown and Joseph Ambo.  Her grandchildren, Jill, Kyle, Stephanie, Lindsey, Jake, Kellie, Corey, Caitlin, Jordan and Scott.  She also leaves behind 10 great-grandchildren.
Audrey is predeceased by her husband, love of her life, Stanley J. Ambo Sr., her parents Omer and Grace (Gardner) Nadeau and her three older sisters, Marjorie (George) Hastings, Lorraine (Henry) Boguslawski and Gloria (Walter) Wojtkowski.
Please join us to celebrate Audrey’s life and have a “pretty drink” at The French King Restaurant on Monday, November 11th from 4-8pm.
A Mass will be held in honor of Audrey at Our Lady of Peace in Turners Falls on Tuesday, November 12th at 10am.  Followed by a burial at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery in Greenfield.
