Allison Fredrick Barry Obituary

Allison Fredrick Barry, 84, of Congress St. passed away peacefully Saturday May 31, 2025. at home. He was born in Shoreham Vt April 12, 1941, the son of Harold and Mable (DeLong) Barry. He attended local schools.  
Al was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Army where obtained the rank of SP4 and was honorably discharged in 1968. He was a professional truck driver for 50 years, logging more than 7,000,000 miles. He retired from Pro Pel Plastic in Deerfield on June 30, 2017. Al was a member of Green River Bible Church for many years and loved his Church Family and his Pastor Jason Beamon. Al enjoyed going to hymn sings, gardening, watching the Red Sox, wrestling, back yard fires and a good German beer.
Al’s survivors include his beloved wife Patricia, his daughter Linda Barry Potter and her husband Brad Potter of Waterville, ME, John Humphrey and his wife Lorraine of Merrill WI, Kathleen Decato and her husband Keith of Greenfield, Benjamin Humphrey of Greenfield and Rebecca Noiseux and her husband Robert E. of Westport, MA. He also leaves 11 grandchildren including Ryan Decato with whom he had a special bond, his siblings. Charles Barry, Anthony Barry, Frances Bitters, Alvin Barry and his wife Kathy, and Cheryl Brandt along with several nieces and nephews and his son in-law Randy Laramie. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his daughter Donna Laramie and siblings Richard Barry and Elizabeth Barry.

Services will be Thursday June 26, 2025, at 9 AM at the Agawam Veteran’s Cemetery.
