Alice “Jeanne” Pelletier, 86, formerly of Greenfield, MA, died Sunday 2/9/25 with her family by her side. She was born in Montague, MA in May 1938, the daughter of Valerian and Leah Chagnon.
Jeanne attended local schools and was a graduate of Turners Falls High School. Jeanne married her high school sweetheart, Michael Pelletier, after his discharge from the United States Army.
Jeanne worked for USDA ASCS, working for local farmers throughout Western Massachusetts. Prior to that, she worked various other jobs including selling Avon, working at International Trucking in Greenfield, Braff Cleaners and was a bookkeeper and dental assistant.
Jeanne enjoyed crafting, including crocheting, knitting and quilting.
Among her survivors, Jeanne leaves three children, Michael Pelletier and Debbie Pelletier, both of Fitzwilliam, NH; and Bill Pelletier of Greenfield, MA; and a sister, Helen Pearson of Greenfield, MA.
Jeanne was predeceased by her husband, Michael Pelletier in February, 2020; a sister, Jeanette Sikora and a brother, Donald Chagnon.
Funeral services will be private. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
