Agnes A. (Bergiel) Dobosz, 94, of George Ave. died Tuesday at the Arbors in Greenfield.
She was born in Turners Falls July 23, 1926 the daughter of Peter and Mary (Kestyn) Bergiel.
Agnes attended local schools and was a graduate of Turners Falls High School Class of 1944. She worked for Couture Bros. for 30 years and retired from the Gill Montague School District in August 31, 1990 after 16 years.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church where she had been a member of the church’s Women’s Group and the Our Lady of Peace Prayer Group. Agnes also volunteered at the church’s rectory. An avid knitter, she belonged to the Senior Knitting Group at the Senior Center.
Agnes leaves her son Brian Dobosz and his wife Dorene of Turners Falls and her daughter Charlene Alosa and her husband Frank of Concord, NH. She was a proud grandmother to Joshua Dobosz, Kate Wells and her husband Cody and Maggie Alosa. She also leaves behind a brother in law Herbert Holden of Amherst and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Charles in 2000, her siblings, Charles Bergiel, Raymond Bergiel, Blanche Guilbault, Edward Bergiel, Irene Russell and Elizabeth Holden.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Friday (4-23-21) at 10 AM at Our Lady of Peace Church with the Rev. Stanley Aksamit pastor officiating. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery. A visitation time will be from 9AM-9:45AM at Kostanski Funeral Home 1 Kostanski Square Turners Falls MA.
