Victor (Witek) Gajewski, 80, formally of Chicopee, passed away on October 12, 2018 at the Farren Care Center, Turners Falls, Mass. Victor was born in Warsaw, Poland on September 22, 1938 to the late Jadwiga (Laskowska) and Jan Gajewski.
He attended schools in Poland, became a tool-maker and eventually became a teacher. He later vacationed in Canada, emigrated to the United States and eventually became an American citizen in 1973.
He will be remembered for his love of travel, having made trips to Poland, California and Florida.
Victor leaves a brother, Jerzy Gajewski, two nieces, Dorota, and Zaneta, a nephew Patrick and two grandnieces Laura and Juliet, all of Paris, France. He also leaves a cousin Caroline Kurzynski of Easthampton, and brother-in-law Anthony Parisi and sister-in-law Antoinette Mancini of West Springfield.
The family would like to thank the management and staff at the Farren Care Center for their excellent care of Victor. The Kostanski Funeral Home of Turners Falls was in charge and burial was in St. Anne's Cemetery.
