Valerie Legere

Greenfield-----Valerie J. (Williams) Legere, 65, of Deerfield Street died Monday (8-6-18) at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She was born in Claremont, NH September 25, 1952 the daughter of Robert and Jacqueline (Johnson) Williams. Valerie attended local school and graduated from Bellows Falls High School.

She worked at Hallmark Imaging for over 25 years, she then worked at Yankee Candle as a seasonal fundraiser processor.

Valerie enjoyed being outside and gardening. When she wasn’t outside, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cheering on the Red Sox and Celtics. Bon Jovi will forever be her favorite artist.

Valerie loved seeing and taking care for her daughter’s two cats, Fenway and Zoe. She called them her “grand fur kids”.

Valerie leaves her husband of 48 years, Raymond; a daughter Janae (Legere) Craig and her husband Steven Craig, Jr.; her sisters, Cheryl Potter and her husband Tom of Concord, NH. and Sally Palmer and her husband Wayne of Bellows Falls, Vt.; her sisters in law, Sally Malloy and her husband Dan of Greenfield and Polly Hillman her husband Doug of Greenfield. Valerie also leaves many nieces, nephews and friends whom she considered family.

She was predeceased by both of her parents, her sister, Debbie and her mother in law, Mary Legere.

Funeral services will be Saturday (8-11-18) at 10 AM at Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal St.

Greenfield. Burial will follow at Green River Cemetery in Greenfield.

Calling hours will be held Friday evening from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Regional
