Welcome to the memorial page for

Philip A Tetreault III

May 23, 2017

Turners Falls-----Philip A.”Rocky” Tetreault III, 64, of Second St. passed from this world to eternal life through Jesus Christ on Tuesday (5-23-17) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston with his children by his side.  He was born in Greenfield on March 7, 1953 the son of Philip A. Jr. and Blanche (Seredejko) Tetreault. Philip attended Turners Falls schools. He lived most of his life in Franklin County, but also lived in Tucson, AZ and Eugene, OR.

He worked as a painter for Tate’s Painting, a family business for many years, working alongside his dad and best friend. Over the years, he taught his five children the trades of his craft and they also worked beside him, painting and roofing many houses across the region. In most recent years he was self-employed artisan, Phil Tetreault Painting.

Phil loved spending time with his family, cooking meals for his family, and taking trips to Ogunquit Maine, walking and sitting along the Marginal Way. He always worked hard to provide for his family. He was an avid and knowledgeable sports fan cheering on the Raiders and New England Sports Teams, especially the Red Sox.

Aside from family and sports, Phil loved anything to do with nature, music, and our good Lord Jesus Christ. He enjoyed landscaping and found peace in gardening. He had a love for animals like wolves and bears, but had a special love for his puppy Spirit. Phil would always say “God Bless You” to anyone and everyone. In this past November 2016, his sons revived his and each other’s connection with Jesus. All the way until his last day, he was a living testimony of the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit, and he even witnessed to other patients and nurses. He always cared and prayed for others, even during his sickness.

He is forever and deeply loved and missed by his children and extended family. Survivors include his children, Philip A. (Stephanie) Tetreault IV of Granby, CT, Todd J. Tetreault and Nathan R. Tetreault of North Hills, CA., Tiffany N. (Gregorio) Rubalcaba of Placentia, CA. and Vanessa Tetreault of Greenfield. He also leaves 4 granddaughters Ashley, Julia, and Riley Tetreault and Jaylene Rubalcaba, and one grandson Matthew Rubalcaba, as well as a 5th granddaughter Isabella Rubalcaba due in July. Other survivors include his mother Blanche Tetreault of Turners Falls, sisters Denise (George) Hemingway, Karen Phillips of Turners Falls and Phyllis (Matt) Teater of Greenfield.  He also leaves Amanda Jackson of North Hills, CA who was like a daughter to him and Joe Albert of Greenfield, like a fourth son, as well as several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
