Greenfield- Philip R. Brown, 75, of Munson Street died Monday 9/11/17 at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.  He was born in Greenfield on August 19, 1942, the son of Leroy and Antionette (Allard) Brown.  Phil was a graduate of Charlton County High School in Folkston, GA. 

Phil served in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1963, obtaining the rank of SH 3/C.

He married his beloved wife, Dolores A. Kniskern Michaud on February 21, 1987.

He retired from the Dumont company, LLC after thirty six years in the purchasing department.

Phil enjoyed golfing and traveling.  He loved spending partial winters in Vero Beach, FL.

Besides his wife of thirty years, Dolores, Phil leaves a brother, Gregory Allard Brown of CT; two step children, Ron Michaud of Guilford, VT and Deborah Michaud Scoble of Greenfield; four step grandchildren, Christine (Michaud) Madore, Jennifer (Michaud) Brittain, Heather Ann (Scoble) Dion and Richard Scoble and two step great grandchildren, Ryan Madore and Olivia Brittain.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday 9/16 at 10am at Our Lady of Peace Church, 90 Seventh Street, Turners Falls.  Burial will follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery in Turners Falls.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dakin Humane Society, PO Box 6307, Springfield, MA 01101.
