Lorraine Rita (Pelletier) Coyle

Greenville, SC-Lorraine Rita Coyle age 89, formerly of Turners Falls passed away peacefully in Greenville, South Carolina on 4 April 2018 surrounded by her family. 

Lorraine was born in East Taunton, Mass on 4 July 1928 to Lawrence and Helen (Morin) Pelletier.  She is 1946 graduate of Turners Falls High School.  She married the love of her life, Bill Coyle on June 28^th 1947. 

Lorraine and Bill adopted and raised two children.  She was a lifelong parishioner of St Mary’s, now Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Turners Falls where she served as the first communion teacher for 10 years, then serving faithfully as CCD director for an additional 9 years until 2002.  She was also a paraprofessional at Hillcrest school for 22 years.  She had a heart for children with special needs.     

Her grandchildren were her greatest joy, she was affectionately known as Darlin’ by all.  She is survived by her children James Coyle and his wife Lynda of Simpsonville SC and Kathleen Amyot and her husband Bob of Hastings, NE and 16 grandchildren: Joseph Coyle, Caitlin Buckingham and her husband Steven, Julianna Watson and her husband Stephen, Nora Coyle, William Amyot, Savvon Coyle, Nathan Coyle and his wife Celia, Katherine Amyot, Emma Coyle, Emily Amyot, Xavier Coyle, Jack Coyle, Kathryn Coyle, Jay Coyle, Carter Coyle and Chayleigh Coyle.  She also leaves 2 great grandchildren Josiah and Rosie Watson.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 11am at Our Lady of Peace Church 90 Seventh St. in Turners Falls with burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Turners Falls. Following the cemetery services there will be a luncheon served in the Fr. Casey Hall at Our Lady of Peace Church.
