Linda M. Gibowicz GREENFIELD Linda M. (Huber) Gibowicz, 61, of 27 Smith St., died Saturday (11-15-08) at Wingate of Springfield Nursing Home. She was born in Brattleboro, Vt., on June 28, 1947. She graduated from Northfield School for Girls and had been a resident of Greenfield most of her life. Linda was an administrative assistant for the Greenfield Public School System for over 25 years. She was an extremely caring and generous person to all; an avid reader and adored her daughters and granddaughter. Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Stephen; two daughters, Kimberly and her husband Joel Gaines of Guilford, Vt., and Stephanie Burbine and her daughter Amelia of South Deerfield; two sisters, Barbara Pritchard and her husband Steve of Guilford and Joann Huber of Barrington, N.H.; her father, Donald Huber of Northfield, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Barbara Rose (Mecheski) Huber in July of 1987. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal St. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery in Gill. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
