Greenfield- Kent D. Warner, 74, of Country Club Road died Saturday 9/23/17 at the Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield. He was born in Greenfield on October 24, 1942, the son of Myron and Ellen (McClintock) Warner. Kent attended local schools in Greenfield and was a graduate of Greenfield High School Class of 1960.

Kent worked at Hardigg Industries for thirty eight years before his retirement. Kent was an avid fan of the Red Sox and Steelers and enjoyed watching them. Kent would spend hours
gardening and caring for his chickens and rabbits. Kent grew the hottest peppers around and everyone enjoyed his homemade chili and sauerkraut. He also enjoyed visiting Old Orchard Beach in Maine with his family and fishing for stripers.

Among his survivors, Kent leaves five children, Kent A. Warner and his wife Susanne of Greenfield, Robert Warner of Woburn, MA, Debra Warner and her boyfriend Bob Slattery of Greenfield, Cindy Warner of Turners Falls, and David Warner and his wife Tracy of Athens, VT; four grandchildren, Stephanie Dubay, Amilee Jarvis, Jeremy Warner and Kent Warner; two great grandchildren, Jace and Jaylah; two brothers, Marlo Warner of Leyden and Kris Warner of Deerfield; and several nieces and nephews. Kent also leaves his longtime friend, Rosemary Noyes.

Kent was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Warner, a sister, Karen and a brother, Myron Warner.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 9/30 at 10am at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal Street, Greenfield. 
Calling hours will be held Friday evening from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
