Kathy married Edward Dodge Sr. (Danny) at Blessed Sacrament Church in Greenfield, June 22, 1974. They just celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary.
Kathy was a homemaker for more than 40 years, but to all who knew her, knew that she was so much more than that. In her earlier years, Kathy worked as a switchboard operator at the former Farren Memorial Hospital, and prior to that: The Millers Falls Tool Company; Meals on Wheels and Catholic Charities.
Kathy was an active communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church in Turners Falls.
Kathy very much enjoyed spending time with family. Nearly every day, for more than 4 decades, she and Danny would go visit his parents Mary and Charlie Dodge. They were more than just her in-laws; they loved her as their own. Likewise, Kathy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and going up to her son Ed’s land in VT. Kathy had a heart overflowing with love, and often sent cards for various occasions to all she loved.
In addition, Kathy loved singing, dancing, photographs, scrapbooking, sports, bird watching, knitting, collecting oddities, and let’s not forget about Avon and pocket books!
Besides her beloved husband of 44 years, Kathy leaves: a daughter, Maryellen Hatch and her husband Jason of Warwick; two sons, Edward Dodge, Jr. and his wife Jolene of Greenfield, and Joseph Dodge and his fiancé Myryah Daehn of Orange; a brother, Richard Thayer of Turners Falls; ten grandchildren: Isaac Melanason, Tyler and Travis Hatch, Shalene “Shay”, Scott, Virginia “Ginny”, Aleah and Tiana Dodge, Isabella “Izzy” Daehn, and Daniel “Danny” Dodge; a great grandson, Isaiah Ramos Rodriguez; Her In laws, Mary and Charlie Dodge of Montague; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her kitty GiGi.  Kathy was a friend to all, and leaves behind many more that she loved and whom loved her unconditionally.
Besides her parents, Kathy was predeceased by an infant daughter, Barbara Jean; an infant brother, Anthony Thayer, and her sister, Gloria Jean Lemoine.
Kathy is being cremated.
