Deerfield----Jane H. (Newcomb) Drumgool, 82, of Upper Rd. died Tuesday (11-28-17) at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield.

She was born in Deerfield January 17, 1935 the daughter of Herbert and Bernice (Warren) Newcomb.

Jane attended local schools and was a graduated from Deerfield High School in 1952 and Becker Junior College in 1955. Jane worked at former Franklin Medical Center in the Pathology Dept as a Medical Secretary for over 26 years retiring in 2000. She enjoyed knitting, quilting and gardening and volunteering at the community meal at Our Lady of Peace Church.

Jane married Joseph Drumgool September 24, 1956. They had over 57 years of marriage before he predeceased her in 2013. She was also predeceased by her sister Mary Ellen Grover.

Jane leaves her children Kathleen Hermes (Paul) of Guilford, CT, John Drumgool (Joann) of Erving, MA, Ann Butynski of Deerfield, MA, Thomas Drumgool (Debbie) of Turners Falls, MA, Robert Drumgool (Cindy) of Deerfield, MA, Paula Thane (Ken) of Halifax, VT, Sharon Drumgool (Huckle) of Shutesbury, MA  and her grandchildren  Jessica Hermes, Sam Hermes, Kayla Drumgool, Daniel Drumgool, Nicholas Drumgool, Jay Butynski, Emma Butynski, Erik Drumgool, Tim Drumgool, four great grandchildren Cassidy Drumgool, Connor Drumgool, Johanna Butynski, Reese Drumgool and her sister Lois Zieper  of Anchorage, Ak  also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday (12-4-17) at 9:15 am from Kostanski Funeral Home 1 Kostanski Square Turners Falls followed a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 am at Our Lady of Peace Church 90 Seventh St Turners Falls. Burial will follow at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery in Greenfield. Calling hour will be held Sunday (12-3-17) from 3-5 pm at the funeral home.
