David M. Thompson, age 67, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017 with his loving family at his side.  He was born in Burlington, Vermont on December 1, 1949 to the late Charles and Jane (Smith) Thompson.  David is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Linh; loving daughters Shirley, Mary (pre-deceased), and Christina Thompson; loving son Ronnie; and one adored grandson, Landon Thompson.

He also leaves behind his brothers and sisters, Walter (pre-deceased), Wallace, Charles (pre-deceased) Wilfred (pre-deceased), Allen (pre-deceased), Gene (pre-deceased), Joan Stockwell, Rodger, Larry, Irene Ramsdell, Stephen, Tommy, Barbara Martel (pre-deceased), Paul, and Susan Lewis and many nieces and nephews.

He proudly served his country and completed multiple tours of duty during the Vietnam War, he was honorably discharged from the United States Army and was a member of the Army Reserve.

He was an avid entrepreneur and businessman.  He formerly worked for Greenfield Tap & Die and owned and operated Village Cab and Muffler Master.

 Services will be held Wednesday (6-28-17) at 9:15 am from the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal St., Greenfield, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 221 Federal St., Greenfield MA. Burial services will be held at1 pm at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery 111 Glenallen St. Winchendon, MA .

Calling hours will be held Tuesday  (6-27-17) from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
