Chris Sweeney

Chris R. Sweeney, 56, of Gunn Street died Wednesday 1/9/19 at the Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield. He was born in Montague on April 12, 1962, the son of Melvin and Jean (Carey) Sweeney. Chris was a graduate of the Franklin County Technical School, class of 1980.
He was a carpenter and worked with his boss, Glenn LeClaire.
Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing, carpentry and his garden.
Among his survivors, Chris leave his mother, Jean; his daughter, Sarina Sweeney of Erving; three grandchildren, Tanjiilan, Ryan and Saryiah; two brothers, Michael Sweeney of Wendell and William Sweeney of Lake Pleasant; two sisters, Vanessa Rogers of Cape Cod and Lorie Reinerth of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
Chris was predeceased by his father, Melvin Sweeney.
A memorial service will be held Saturday 1/19 at 11am at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
