Greenfield------Anne F. Bailey, 85, a resident of Buckley Health Care Center and formerly of Turners Falls passed away Wednesday 2-15-17 at the center.

She was born in Greenfield August 3, 1931 the daughter of John R. and Bertha C. (Johnson) Farnsworth.

Anne was a 1949 graduate of Turners Falls High School then went on to Westbrook Jr. College to earn her associates degree. She also attended the Chamberlain School of Retailing.

Anne was a banker. Having worked for the former Shawmut, Heritage and Peoples Banks. While at Shawmut Bank she met her future husband Thomas B. Bailey. They married in 1960. He predeceased her in March of 1976.

Anne was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, a lifelong member of the former 1^st Congregational Church in Turners Falls where she was treasurer for many years, the Republican Club and Friends in Council. Anne enjoyed traveling to many places including Europe, Alaska, Canada, California, Oklahoma and Cape Cod. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family.

Anne leaves her son Mark Bailey and his wife Sandy of Greenfield and her daughter Elizabeth Phillips of Greenfield, three grandchildren Katelin A. Bailey, Christopher and Matthew Phillips, a sister in-law Beatrice Farnsworth of NY, NY and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, Anne was predeceased by her brother John R. Farnsworth.

A graveside service will take place in Springdale Cemetery in Turners Falls on Saturday, June 10th at 1pm.

There no calling hours.
