Anita (Dollmon) Jacques

GREENFIELD — Anita B. (Dollmann) Jacques, 75, of Elm Terrace, passed away Saturday, 6/10/2017 at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield. Known her whole life by family and friends as ” Annie.” She was born in occupied Metz, France during the 2nd World War on March 13, 1942. She was the daughter of Louis and Marie (Nayen) Dollmann. Her primary education was obtained at the Academy of Strasbourg, France.

Annie was an industrial supervisor at Georgia Pacific for many years before her retirement. Prior to that, she was employed as a supervisor with Erving Paper Mill.

Her interests and talents included being an accomplished artist in oil painting, an avid writer of poetry (belonging to several poet societies), needle point/crocheting/ knitting, restoring antique furniture, traveling abroad, visiting beaches, cooking her French recipes, reading, music, singing, and dancing.

She maintained her French citizenship throughout her life and was very proud of her French heritage.

She was a long time parishioner of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Turners Falls, MA.

Among her survivors, Annie leaves 3 children, Troy Jacques and his wife Debbie of Greenfield, Theresa Bassett and her husband Robert of Turners Falls, and Michel Jacques of Greenfield; A brother and sister, Marcel and Mariette, as well as many cousins and relatives, of France; Seven grandchildren, Kara, Danielle, Katie, Adam, Tyler, Noah, and Matthew; and one great grandson, Gary.

Annie was predeceased by her husband, Leo P. Jacques on Oct. 17, 1996; a granddaughter Leah Jacques; and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be private. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
