Eileen Frederick Obituary

Eileen Mae (Conway) Frederick, 100, of Millers Falls, MA was welcomed home by the lord on April 9, 2024. She was born in Turners Falls, MA on February 24, 1924 to Beatrice (LaPierre) and Joseph Conway.
Eileen married her husband, Harold (Hank) Frederick in 1943. They purchased their home in Millers Falls however as an Air Force family they moved to many states through the years. They finally settled back in Millers Falls in 1963.
Eileen loved caring for her family as a stay at home mother. She was an excellent cook and prepared the most delicious meals. She took care of her elderly parents preparing meals for them. She enjoyed bowling for many years and was really good. She was a knitter, seamstress, gardener and quilter. Upholstery, basket making and quilting classes were just a few things she especially enjoyed. Traveling and spending time with her family was a favorite. She loved poetry and reading and always had a book or magazine near by. She loved fashion and always dressed with incredible style. Music, especially Big Band was something she enjoyed along with all music and could often be heard humming or whistling a tune. She remained curious about everything all of her life. She had an incredible memory and was the one to go to if you were at a loss for a name or event. 
Eileen had an incredible heart, strength , bravery and most importantly faith. She volunteered many years at Saint John’s church in Millers Falls. She taught catechism classes, helped with clothing drives and contributed many handmade items and baked goods to the yearly Christmas Bizarre.
Eileen held the position of president of the PTA at Highland Elementary School. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout troop leader for years. 
Eileen always loved children and eventually became a Teachers Aid first at Highland school and 
then Hillcrest school working with children with special needs.
Eileen had a soft spot for everyone in need and made numerous contributions throughout her life to many charities. Eileen liked everyone she met and was a great conversationalist.
Eileen was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, her eldest daughter Pamela Jean (Frederick) Williams and her husband John A. Williams, her son-in-law Edward (Ron) DeGrenier and grandsons Jonathan and Joel Tatro and her siblings, Raymond, Geraldine and Helen.
Eileen is survived by her daughter Katrina Ann (Frederick) Tatro and her husband John of Oak Hill, FL, daughter Diana Rae (Frederick) DeGrenier of Southampton, MA and her son Daniel Joseph Frederick of Buford, GA as well as grandchildren Lynn, John and James Williams, Nathaniel and Katy (Tatro) Morton and Joshua, Caleb and Jillian DeGrenier. She had 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Monday 4/15 at 10am at Our Lady of Peace Church, 90 Seventh Street, Turners Falls.  Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Millers Falls. 
A calling hour will be held Monday morning from 8:30am to 9:30am at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls.
