Greenfield---Stephen S. Savinski Jr., 82, formerly of Ave A. Turners Falls died Wednesday at Charlene Manor Extended Care Facility.

He was born in Whately the son of Stephen and Victoria (Boron) Savinski. Steve graduated from Deerfield High School having played basketball and baseball through out school.

Steve was a truck driver for Oxford Foods for over 35 years. He was a founding member of the St. Kazimierz shuffle board league where he was a member and had been president for 13 years. He was also a member of St. Stanislaus Society and the South Deerfield Polish Club. He was an avid fan of the Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins and New England Patriots.

Steve leaves his children Barry (Mary) of Montague, David (Diane) of Bernardston, Gary (Karen) of Montague, Alan (Kathleen) of Montague, Scott (Dawn) of Greenfield, Lori Stone (Ed) of Montague, Caryl Mayrand (Joseph) and Charyl Currier (Leonard) of Turners Falls, his companion of many years, Pam Arcand of Turners Falls and a sister Nancy Griswold (Ken) of CO., 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and friends

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday March 31, 2017 at St. Kazimierz Society   at 6:00 PM.

There are no calling hours.

Memorial contributions may made to the donor’s choice.
