Ralph V. Fronckus, Sr.

Montague- Ralph V. Fronckus, Sr., 94, of Greenfield Road died Sunday 12/4/16 at the Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield.  He was born in Montague on July 19, 1922, the son of Ralph and Anna (Klepacki) Fronckus.  Ralph served in the United States Army during World War II.

He was owner and operator of the Montague Garage in Montague for twenty five years until his retirement.   Ralph was a communicant of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in Turners Falls.

He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.  Ralph enjoyed gardening and landscaping around the house and fishing.

Among his survivors, Ralph leaves a son, Mark Fronckus, a daughter, Marilyn Rodden and her husband Ron, a brother, Edwin Fronckus, all of Montague; two grandchildren, Doreen Fahey and Christopher Clarke; two great grandchildren, Courtney and Kayla; one great great granddaughter, Ivy; and several nieces and nephews.

Ralph was predeceased by his wife, Helen (Kopinto) Fronckus, a son, Ralph Fronckus, Jr., and a daughter Jean Clarke.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday (12/7/16) at 9:45am from the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30am at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church with the Rev. Sean O’Mannion officiating.  Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.

There will be no calling hours.
