Naomi Ruth Aiken Johnson

On June 15th Naomi went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ being joined once again with her parents Vern and Katie Aiken.

A native of North Leverett , she attended Leverett School, Amherst High School. She then graduated from GCC with an Associates Degree.

At a very early age Naomi was introduced to Jesus Christ and asked him to be her Lord and Savior and discovered he was all the Bible says he is. She enjoyed serving him in various ways, teaching Sunday school, youth events, music, being involved with solos, duets, groups, as well with playing the piano and organ while serving her Savior at Shutesbury Community Church.

She continued in these areas and increased her involvement by heading up hospitality, clerk of the mission’s board. Upon relocation to Calvary Baptist Church Naomi continued serving her Savior becoming involved in several local and world mission’s to include C.E.F. , Voice of the Martyrs, Lifebridge, Gideon’s, Pine Brook and Camp Northfield.

Naomi discovered the Lord had gifted her with encouragement and Ministering through correspondence. She believed in the power of prayer and her prayer life would exhaust most Christians.

Naomi will be missed by all, but we know where she is. Her desire would be to encourage the Christian Community to continue to serve Jesus Christ with all their hearts.

Services for Naomi will be held Saturday July 1, 2017 at 11 AM at Kostanski Funeral Home 1 Kostanski Square Turners Falls. There are no calling hours and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
