Greenfield---Michael Fotopulos, 91, of Prospect St. died Wednesday (5/10/17) at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

He was born in Greenfield on August 9, 1925, the son of Peter and Theone (Papulis) Fotopulos. He attended Greenfield schools and graduated from Greenfield High School in 1943. Michael went on to attend Suffolk University in Boston.

He served in the US Navy from 1943 to 1946, when he was honorably discharged. He attained the rank of Pharmacist’s Mate 2nd Class.

Michael was the Regional Sales Manager responsible for New England through Washington, DC., at Bendix Corp. from 1951-1968. He formed his own company, MF Company as a Manufacturers Representative in 1968, and continued servicing many of his customers until 2010.

Michael enjoyed golf and was a longtime member of the Country Club of Greenfield. He also was a member of The Greenfield Club for many years.  He was an avid follower of current news and politics, and always had Time Magazine and The New York Times by his side at home.

Survivors include his daughter Elaine Tocci of Newton, MA, his son Mark of Greenfield and his granddaughters, Giovanina Normandy Tocci, Mia Gabriela Tocci, and grandson Alex Fotopulos. He also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his sisters: Myra Fotopulos Coscore and Georgia Fotopulos .

Services will be held Wednesday (5-17-17) at Kostanski Funeral Home at 11 am. A calling hour will be from 10 am until the time of services. Burial will follow in Green River Cemetery.
