Merrill Jenne

Merrill Jenne, son of Norman Phelps Jenne and Elsie Frazier Jenne, passed away on January 27th 2018 in the early morning to go visit that great drag strip in the sky.  If you wanted to know the cause of death, anyone who knew him would know he would say “It’s none of your business.”

Merrill grew up in Vermont and later moved to Massachusetts where he called Montague home.  He is survived by his wife, Denise Paulin-Jenne, his daughter Lesley Jenne and his three step-children, Kylie McMahon, Seth McMahon, Josh and his wife Nikki McMahon; his step-mother Evelyn Jenne; his sister Norma Satow and her husband Clay and their children Lara Kastelein, her husband Eric, and Gary Satow and his wife Cory; his step-siblings Philip Roberts, Peter Roberts and his wife Nancy, and Barbara Roberts and her companion Jim, and Muria Roberts. He is also survived by his grandchildren Ethan, Dominic, Hunter, Piper, Paxton, Ryder and Milaina and his great nieces Milena, Alecia, Diana and Mara.

Merrill worked as a lineman for WMECO for many years before retiring to concentrate on his hobbies.  He was a very modest man with an enormous heart and incredibly generous nature.  While he would never say so, he touched practically everyone he met.  Merrill loved keeping busy and always had at least one project going.  He was the jack of all trades.  His passion included working on his vehicles (his Grand National was his baby), travelling to the drag races, watching birds in the backyard, cooking meals for his family and spoiling his sweet K9 Katie.

He will be terribly missed by everyone that knew him.

Calling hours will be held Friday 2/2 from 4-7pm at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls, MA.

There will be no formal funeral services.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
