Greenfield----Linda D. (Girard) Clarke, 72, of Graves Rd. died Tuesday (8-15-17) at Buckley Health Care Center. She was born in Montague June 21, 1945 the daughter of Wallace and Genevieve ( Powling             ) Girard.  Linda attended Montague Schools and graduated from Turners Falls High School. She retired from the Greenfield School System as an administrative assistant after many years. Previously Linda worked for New England Telephone, waitressed for 26 years at Applebee’s and the former Howard Johnson’s. After retiring she worked as a Home Health Care Aide.

 She loved her dogs and loved vacationing with her husband in Aruba for the past 27 years.

Linda leaves her husband F. Peter , two sons; Steven P. of Orange and Michael W. of Erving three grandsons; Michael P. Clarke, Drew Clarke and Derrick Johnson. Linda also leaves her step father Arthur Lewis,brothers Arthur Girard and David Lewis all of Turners Falls. and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Richard Girard and Gary Lewis.

Services will be Monday (8-21-17) at 9:15am from the Kostanski Funeral Home 220 federal St. followed by a Liturgy of Christian burial at 10am at Blessed Sacrament Church with Rev. Timothy Campoli pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday (8-20-17) from 1-3pm at the funeral home.
