Greenfield- Letitia A. (Williams) Therrien, 93, recently of North Adams died Tuesday 8/1/17 at the Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.  She was born in Charlemont on May 29, 1924, the daughter of Clarence Robert Williams and Blanche Ethel (Davis) Drown. 

Letitia was a chef at the Head Start School in Turners Falls for many years before her retirement.  She was a lifetime member of the Turners Falls VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 923.  Her last job at 90, was at the Indian Plaza Pow-Wow grounds in Charlemont.

She was a devoted Red Sox fan and a published poet.  She was named “Grandmother FireWind” by the Native American Community.   She loved the outdoors, the beach, and her extensive family. 

Among her survivors, Letitia leaves a daughter, Suzanne Therrien of North Adams; eight grandchildren, James Schulz of Malden, MA, Dyanne Renaud of Sierra Vista, AZ, Gina Ferreira and her husband Daniel of Brazil, Lee-Anna Renaud of Greenfield, Angela Tuttle and her husband Nicholas of North Adams, Michael White of Greenfield, Edward White IV and his wife Shannon of Mexico, ME, and Emma Therrien of Greenfield; twenty-four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Letitia was predeceased by two husbands, Josiah W. Chase and Philippe “Frenchie” R. Therrien; a daughter, Carol A. Chase; a grandson, Steven A. Chase; and four siblings. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday 8/12 at 11am at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal Street, Greenfield with the Rev. Dan Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow at Federal Street Cemetery in Greenfield. 

A calling hour will be held Saturday morning from 10am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
