Greenfield----Leander A. Magee, 57, of Countryside died Monday 1-16-17 at home.

He was born in Youngstown, Ohio March 27, 1959 the son of Clyde and Ida (Dyson) Magee.

Lee excelled at school having graduated from Western Reserve Academy in Ohio at the age of 16. He went to Oberlin College.  After college at the age of 20 he went to Deerfield Academy where he taught mathematics and coach basketball and baseball for over 30 years. He went on to teach at GCC. He loved sports, baseball was his passion. Lee coached Manny’s Baseball team for over 27 years where he was very well respected.

Lee leaves his brother Wayne of MA, and his sisters Courteni Kennedy of Maryland and Charmaine Magee of Ohio and several nieces and nephews and many, many friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday 1-28-17 at 10 AM at Kostanski Funeral Home 220 Federal St. Greenfield.

Burial Will be private in Ohio.

There are no calling hours.
