GREENFIELD - Kendall C. Lincoln, 88, of Greenfield, MA, passed away on Tuesday, February 27th, peacefully at Charlene Manor.
He was born on February 22, 1930, the son of the late, Nelda (Baldwin) Lincoln and Roy Lincoln. A graduate of ARMS Academy, Shelburne Falls, MA the Class of 1949. He was employed at Millers Falls Tool Company for 20 years. He retired from UMass in Amherst where he was employed as the store manager for 30 years.
Ken was an avid musician playing the accordion and organ. Enjoyed swimming at the YMCA, and playing the accordion in bands, The Carlin Trio, and also in Lucy and the Starlighters, for 30 years. He would play the organ and sing for people. One of his passions was on a nice day to get a coffee and a snack, with Lucy. They would sit by the river chit chat in Jon's back yard. Ken would talk to anyone and everyone. He always had a smile for all.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille (Karpinski) Lincoln of 43 years, his sons, Gary Lincoln and wife Doreen Lincoln of Brattleboro, VT, Robert Lincoln and his wife Karen Lincoln, of Conway, MA and daughters, Helen Lincoln-White and her husband, Chris White, of Greenfield, MA and Mary Lincoln, of Hyannis, MA, and step children, Susan Unaitis, Richard Unaitis , and Jon Unaitis, 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Polly (Lincoln) Turner, and brother, Robert Lincoln, step son, Anthony ""Jimmy"" Unaitis in 1995 and step daughter, Patricia Unaitis in 2013.
There will be a celebration of his life on Sunday, March 25th, 2018 from 2pm until 5pm at the Moose Lodge #997, 20 School Street, Greenfield, MA 01301.
