Greenfield- Jean E. (Geddis) Marini, 68, of Conway Street died Tuesday 10/3/17 at home.  She was born in Greenfield on January 8, 1949, the daughter of Leon and Marianne (Howe) Geddis.  She attended Turners Falls High School and also attended Greenfield Community College.

Jean was an operator for Verizon for ten years before her retirement.  Prior to that, she was a nursing home aide and also worked for Phoenix Mutual Insurance Company as a claims processor for ten years.

Jean loved playing cards, especially Uno with her sisters Betty and Brenda every week.  She also enjoyed trips to the casino with her very good friend Donna.

Among her survivors, Jean leaves a son, Robert Sheperd and his wife Denise of Greenfield; a daughter, Lisa Marini of Greenfield; seven grandchildren, Chrysta, Kierstin, Robert, Linda, Natalie, Katie and Kayla; two great grandsons, Jason and Gabriel; six siblings, Betty White, Barry Geddis, Brian Geddis, Brenda Baker, Jack Geddis and Jan Martin.  Jean also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Jean was predeceased by a daughter, Jennifer Griffin in September of 2012.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10/11 at 10am at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday evening from 5-7pm at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
