Turners Falls- Gertrude I. (Grenier) Fairbrother, 91, of Worcester Ave died Sunday 6/11/17 at the Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield.  She was born in Lewiston, ME on July 17, 1925, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Grenier of Lewiston, ME. 

Gertrude was employed by a shoe manufacturing company in Lewiston before moving to Turners Falls.  She was a retired Nurse’s Aide at the former Franklin Nursing Home.  Prior to that, Gertrude was employed at WESCO Electric and at Russell’s Café in Greenfield.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church in Turners Falls.

Among her survivors, Gertrude leaves two daughters, Sandra Ward and her husband James of Montague and Linda Walsh of Greenfield; a grandson, Michael Richotte of Turners Falls; and two great grandchildren, Justin Picard and Jennifer Richotte.

Gertrude was predeceased by her husband, Robert Fairbrother on June 23, 2005, and two grandsons, Dean Clark and Timothy Richotte.

Funeral services and burial will be private.
