South Deerfield- Frank M. Naida, 83, of Conway Street died Sunday 6/18/17 at the Linda Manor Extended Care Facility in Leeds.  He was born in Turners Falls on June 15, 1934, the son of Stanistaus and Nellie(Szura) Najda.  He attended local schools in Turners Falls and was a graduate of Turners Falls High School. 

Frank served as a Boatswain 3rd Class in the United States Navy during the Korean War.

He was an inspector for the Greenfield Tap & Die for forty-three years until his retirement in 1999.  Frank was a lifelong resident of Turners Falls prior to moving to South Deerfield in 2006.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church in Turners Falls. 

Among his survivors, Frank leaves a son, Francis Naida of South Deerfield; a daughter, Lisa Woods and her husband John of Greenfield; two granddaughters, Hayden and Hadley Woods; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday 6/27 at 10am at Our Lady of Peace Church, 90 Seventh Street, Turners Falls with the Rev. Stanley Aksamit officiating.  Burial will follow at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Turners Falls with full military honors to be observed by the United States Navy.

There will be no calling hours.
