Welcome to the memorial page for

Elissa R. Lahoski

May 26, 2017

Bernardston----Elissa Rose Lahoski, 35, formerly of Orange, was released from her pain and suffering on Friday (5-26-17) in North Carolina. She is now laughing, singing, dancing, and rejoicing in her Heavenly Father’s embrace.

She was born in Greenfield, the daughter of Brian and Susan (Wysk) Lahoski.  She attended local schools and was especially involved in music programs. She played flute and sang with a beautiful alto voice. She enjoyed arts and crafts. She had an adventurous and playful spirit.

Elissa struggled for the last 10 years of her life with a rare and misunderstood brain disease. Diagnosed with a kind of Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension, she endured many procedures and surgeries to release the constant pressure on her brain. She was an IIH warrior to the end. Ironically, it was an unknown heart condition that took her life.

Elissa loved her children with every part of her being. She leaves behind Hayden Rouse, Skyler Rouse, Ryan Voltz-Benoit, and Mandie Voltz-Benoit in the loving care of others. She also leaves her parents Susan and Brian Lahoski and her grandparents Wallace and Eunice Wysk, all of Bernardston, her siblings Jennifer Golych and her husband Jon of Windsor Locks, CT, Kami Lahoski of Salem, MA and Michael Lahoski of Greenfield, plus many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. So many family and friends helped during her illness, and her family is grateful to them all.

A Celebration of her Life will be held Saturday 6-10-17 at College Church 58 Pomeroy Terrace, Northampton, MA at 10AM, with the Rev. Dr. Paul Sorrentino officiating.
