Jensen Beach, FL- Edward W. Bourbeau, Jr., 90, formerly of Turners Falls died Saturday 12/2/17.   He was born in Turners Falls on January 12, 1927, the son of Edward W., Sr. and Marguerite (Herzig) Bourbeau.  Ed attended local schools in Turners Falls. He served in the United States Navy.

For five years, Ed lived in Maseru in the southern Africa country of Lesotho.

He was owner and store keeper of Bourbeau’s Package Store in Turners Falls and a storekeeper at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.

Ed enjoyed golf, tennis and traveling.

Among his survivors, Ed leaves three children, Edward W. Bourbeau, III; Margaret H. “Peggy” Cherwa of Jensen Beach, FL; and David B. Bourbeau; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Ed was predeceased by his brother, Robert Bourbeau and wives, Odette in 1951 and June “Cookie” in 1991.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Thursday 12/7 at 10am at Our Lady of Peace Church, 90 Seventh Street, Turners Falls.  Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Turners Falls.

A calling hour will be held Thursday morning from 8:30-9:30am at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls.
