Claire M. (LeSage) Zak

Russell- Claire M. (LeSage) Zak, 87, died Thursday 3/29/18 at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.  She was born in North Adams, MA on May 30, 1930, the daughter of Rene A. and Helen (Dagneault) LeSage. 

Claire was a telephone operator for the New England Bell Company for over thirty years.

She enjoyed ball room dancing, dining out, occasional trips to the casino and working in the yard and garden.   Claire most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Besides her beloved husband, Francis Zak, Sr., Claire leaves her children, Gary Wood and his wife Lisa of Gordonville, TX; Debbie Wood of Turners Falls; Sheri Johnson and her husband Harry of Westfield; and Francis Zak, Jr. and his wife Sue of Westfield; grandchildren, Jeremy, Kyle, Shannon, Cherie, Brandon, Zachary and Leland; a great grandson, Jace Wood; two brothers, Paul LeSage of Pittsfield, MA and Rene LeSage and his wife Claire of North Adams, MA; and several nieces and nephews?

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Thursday 4/5 at 10am at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 84 K Street, Turners Falls with the Rev. Sean O’Mannion officiating.  Burial will follow at the parish cemetery in Turners Falls.

A calling hour will be held Thursday morning from 8:45am – 9:45am at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls.
