Greenfield- Catherine (Bache) Naehrbass, 62, died Monday 11/20/17 at the Charlene Manor Extended Care Facility in Greenfield.  She was born in Montague on July 11, 1955, the daughter of George and Janet (Burns) Bache. Cathy attended local schools in Greenfield and was a graduate of Greenfield High School Class of 1973.

After high school, Cathy worked at J C Penny’s and lived in New Mexico for a short period of time.  She then moved to Phoenix, AZ where she found a career she loved working for Southwest Airline as a reservation agent.  Through Southwest, she and her family were able to enjoy traveling to many places, especially to one of her favorite places, Las Vegas, NV.

In 2006, Cathy moved to Bridgewater, NH and since November of 2014 has resided at the Charlene Manor Extended Care Facility in Greenfield.

Cathy participated in the Greenfield Girls Club for many years.  She always had a great love for animals including horses, but she especially loved her many cats and dogs.

Among her survivors, Cathy leaves three children, Brittany Wasielewski of Boscawan, NH, Kristopher Wasielewski of Millers Falls, and Randi Wasielewski of Shelburne; her mother, Janet Bache of Bridgewater, NH; her siblings, Jackie Sherwin of  Caanan, NH, Nancy Bache of Fitchburg, MA and Tim Bache and his wife Rosemary of Greenfield; and nieces and nephews, Kerry Sherwin of Seattle, WA, Alex Sherwin of Bourne, MA, Jeff Bache of Colrain, MA and Jenn Bache of Greenfield as well as and her former husband Shawn Wasielewski.

Cathy was predeceased by her father George Bache and her husband Jim Naehrbass.

Calling hours will be held Saturday afternoon from 2:30-4pm at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal Street, Greenfield.  There will be a brief prayer service at 4pm, following the calling hours at the funeral home. 

Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
